It’s so wrong, and yet so right. . .
It was a tree house.
During this rainy season, built twenty
feet off the ground, complete with
mismatched board floor and plastic
sheeting for a roof.
Access by thick rope with knots for
footholds, exit by sliding down a pole.
It was scheduled for demolition today.
Built by a homeless man, on CalTrans
property, too dangerous to be left
perched in that eucalyptus.
Of course, it had to come down.
Still, props to that displaced soul
for ingenuity and hard work, two
things we prize.
WTF is that?
